Vanessa Hudgens' "Rent" Stage Debut!

Kicking off a three night onstage run, Vanessa Hudgens was front and center at the Hollywood Bowl in Hollywood, California on Friday night (August 6).Looking ever-so-sexy, the "Sucker Punch" star got into her role of Mimi as danced around the stage and sang for the packed crowd - which included her hunky boyfriend Zac Efron.Directed by Neil Patrick Harris, the Rent stage production is scheduled for two more sessions taking place tonight and tomorrow.

Joining Vanessa in the casting are Aaron Tveit, Wayne Brady and "Dancing with the Stars" champion Nicole Scherzinger.

Having just gotten back to town, Zac Efron took Vanessa Hudgens out on a lunch date in Hollywood, California on Thursday afternoon (July 29).
Looking happier than ever to be together, the "High School Musical" lovers cutely held hands as they chowed down with Vanessa's "Rent" co-stars Aaron Tviet and Skylar Astin.Currently quite busy with their blooming careers, Zac was fresh off of intense promotions for his just-released movie "Charlie St. Cloud". Meanwhile, Vanessa has been practicing up for her role as Mimi in Neil Patrick Harris' Hollywood Bowl "Rent" production taking place August 6-8.

Vanessa Hudgens’s ‘Intense’ New Exercise Partners: Navy Seals

Forget a personal trainer.
While preparing for an upcoming film role, Vanessa Hudgens recently adopted several unorthodox exercise partners – partners who had her in tears by the end of the workout.
“I trained with Navy Seals for five months,” she told PEOPLE at Las Vegas’s ShoWest movie convention. “It was the most intense thing that anyone could ever do.”
Breaking from her typical tween roles, Hudgens, 21, will star in the 2011 movie Sucker Punch, an action flick set in the 1950s. “I walk around with the biggest guns you have ever seen,” she said.
But she credits those grueling workouts for mentally (and physically) preparing her for the role. “I was bawling my eyes out because they push you so hard,” she said. “But it’s amazing what you find from it. When you go so far you find a certain Zen within that and you know you can do anything. It’s very empowering.”
Prior to the release of Sucker Punch, Hudgens will star in Beastly, which she describes as a take on Beauty and the Beast – but in a “modern, sexy way.”
